As Zail draws closer to death, he begins to take up less and less space in the world. One day, he takes in a snail, inviting it to share the little time he has left, even as he retreats further into his own shell with each passing day. As his isolation begins to close in on him, he ventures out one night. His meeting with a stranger becomes a genuine moment where two people, within a judgment-free encounter, share their regrets and disappointments.
